Combining ground poles can help the horse find an even stride. Single poles help the horse learn to reach, multiple poles can help the horse find evenness in the diagonal pairs.
This first horse is my stallion Donato. He is very good at reaching up and out but tends to flatten if we do too much of this work.
Allure ~ This mare has trouble reaching up and out in the shoulders.
The ground poles help her change as well as giving me the opportunity to influence the neck and outside shoulder to lengthen.
Dani ~ This horse tends to rush so the multiple ground poles help her sort out a more even reach in the shoulders
and also helps her think about slowing down.
