This horse was very tense when you put on the girth, to the point of not being able to stand still. We work on this every ride and while she can now stand more relaxed, you can still see the tension in her body and the flinching reaction she has when you give an aid on the right side. Paying attention to the horse and helping them change the reactions is key to a safe, reliable horse.
