This is a regular student of mine in MD that has recently purchased a 2 year old Lusitano. He is a super cool guy but he did not have clear understanding of how to interact with people. It is known he did not have much handling and I suspect when he did, the humans flapped at him as he was very defensive. Here is the the first lesson we did using Pivo

In this video we ventured from the stall to the arena. You can see how the open space made it clear that the horse did not understand. Teaching the horse to not push into pressure is key!

In this video, you can see the horse relax and think! The student has done a great job helping the horse understand what she asks! Now we can start to discuss the balance and be much more specific.
