Connecting with your horse’s motion is very important for communication. Once we follow the horse, we can ask the horse to come more in front of the leg. Then when the horse is moving forward we can focus on steering with the legs and not need the reins. This allows us to influence the balance of the horse later with the rein and legs aids much more efficiently.
