This is a horse that was ridden primarily in the hand before his current owner. Because of this, we have to explain to the horse that he shouldn’t lean onto the hand but instead follow the leg, then he will use his back. With this student, I have her use a neck strap to help create a consistent boundary in the hand so the hand isn’t being pulled forward.
