This is a very common problem! This student has been in lessons with me using both Pivo and in person at clinics since last fall. He was very contracted and either wouldn’t move or would blow up. As you can see we have a very different horse now! This clip is about requiring the horse to go forward on their own accord (we can do this because of the previous straightening work) so everyone can relax and start to focus on teaching the horse to use the back.
